Apollo has extensive experience in providing leadership role on tax advisory services, transfer pricing (TP)
services, compliance services and advocacy services for over the last 10 years to large and multifaceted clients
working in Baker Tilly and having worked in the PwC Kenya, Nairobi. For the last 5 years, he has been
providing a leading role in provision of compliance, consulting and advisory services with regard to taxes
covering direct and indirect taxes to local and multinational clients both at Baker Tilly and while previously
working at PwC.
In view of this, he has a wide experience in managing clients in various sectors such as Consumer Industrial
Products (CIPs), financial sector (banks & insurance), Oil and Gas, and services industry clients. He provides
leadership role on tax compliance and advisory services to all of the Baker Tilly’s tax clients. In this role, he
regularly leads the tax team providing advice on complex advisory matters as well recommendations on key
compliance requirements. Previously at PwC, he was a member of the firm’s technical committee which
provided guidance on complex tax matters.
As a Tax lead with respect to tax practice, Apollo is responsible for leading and managing tax
assignments/projects and quality management to ensure that adequate work is performed, in accordance with
set timelines.
Apollo is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a M.A in
Economic Policy Management from University of Nairobi and B.A in Economics (first class honours) from
Moi University. He is also a Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA) graduate and a Certified Public
Secretary (CPS) graduate
